URBAN CLEAN ENERGY INITIATIVE
Northwest SEED works collaboratively
with urban communities, implementing energy efficiency
and renewable energy projects. These projects reduce
energy costs, increase renewable energy installations,
and increase community capacity to pursue clean energy
initiatives.
DETAILS
NWSEED's Urban Clean Energy Initiative assists
city neighborhood and community groups seeking technical
assistance on community energy projects. Program areas
include: research and development of financing mechanisms
for community-scale renewable and efficiency projects,
outreach and organizing to neighborhoods around these
issues, and project development assistance for community
solar electric and water heating projects.
