The Northwest has abundant
sources of clean, renewable energy and many opportunities
for conservation and efficiency. Strong communities,
taking collective action, can utilize these resources
to respond effectively to global climate change, the
depletion of fossil fuel reserves, and energy supply
volatility.
Northwest SEED educates, equips, and
empowers communities to develop their own solutions
that provide real community benefits. As a non-profit
organization, we work directly with communities to
identify practical solutions that support a sustainable local economy founded on locally owned energy.
